What is Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy?
Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy is an evidence-based therapy that pulls together a range of techniques and models of therapy to tailor every experience to suit you as an individual. Your therapy sessions also need to adapt based on how you progress. Cognitive Hypnotherapy provides a framework that can update and change depending on your unique journey.
You can see from the chart that Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a leader for change in anxiety and depression. What about everything else? Well, the research hasn’t been done on that yet. BUT I believe that our success in this area has nothing to do with the labels Anxiety and Depression and everything to do with our approach to therapy. That is, we create an approach to therapy that is devised uniquely for you.
This means that I won’t try to squeeze you or your issue into a method of therapy that doesn’t fit you as a person. I won’t look at a label and determine a course of action based on predefined processes for that label. Instead, I tailor everything I do around you as a person. I talk, listen and use a vast range of skills and knowledge about the role of your mind and body in your struggle. Then I help guide you towards the change you are looking to create because I know you have everything you need to resolve your issue.
Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy also includes the use of hypnotic language that is always tailored to you and never a one-size-fits-all script. Having said that, it’s not all about hypnosis, as the title of this therapy might suggest. It involves using many other techniques such as NLP, Positive Psychology, Gestalt Therapy, Behavioural Psychology, Cognitive Therapy, Parts Works, EFT and Eye Movement Integration, the list goes on. What is important is that I draw on the techniques that fit you as a person rather than trying to fit you into my way of working.
